Ten electric flying cars from European mobility solution provider Crisalion Mobility have been ordered by Dubai-based private aviation operator Air Chateau to serve as air taxi services in the United Arab Emirates starting in 2030. This is the first business collaboration between a European company and the Middle East.
Up to five passengers and a pilot can ride in Crisalion’s Integrity air taxi, which is presently under development. It serves the needs of passengers and cargo transporting between cities as well as within cities. With today’s battery technology, it can reach a speed of 180 km/h and a range of 130 km.
“In 2030, integrity aircraft are scheduled to enter service. We will begin delivering our first units to our various customers at that point on, according to Manuel Heredia, general manager of Crisalion Mobility.
Due to the significant time savings offered by these new, cutting-edge transportation options, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are rapidly entering the air mobility market by launching air taxis. Joby and Archer Aviation are working with their UAE partners to launch their flying cars next year.
