To improve the quality of life and attain the highest standards of security and safety in the emirate, the General Department of Operations and Security Support, on behalf of the Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), announced that it is fully prepared to welcome the New Year 2025 with a comprehensive traffic security plan.
The security plan includes stepping up security and traffic patrols in all areas of the emirate, with a focus on vital sites like in major events and celebrations and launching fireworks (Al Heera Corniche, Al Buhaira Corniche, and Khorfakkan Corniche), public facilities, and monitoring the passage of vehicles on external roads,” explained Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Operations and Security Support.
In addition to working closely with strategic partners like Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid Vehicle Solutions Company, he emphasized that Sharjah Police will use all of its resources and the newest smart technologies to support traffic security operations. These include sophisticated monitoring and communication systems that will improve the effectiveness of quick response to emergencies around the clock.
To maintain their safety and prevent traffic jams, Brigadier General Dr. Al Naour urged the public to assist the security guards at the celebration locations and heed their orders.
