UAE and Chinese Presidents Exchange Memoranda of Understandings and Agreements

The President of the United Arab Emirates, He On Thursday, the People’s Republic of China’s President, Xi Jinping, and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended a ceremony wherein numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) covering a variety of cooperation areas were announced, exchanged, and signed between China and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office; and Hussain Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced, exchanged, and signed the agreements and Memoranda of Understanding.

These are the agreements and memorandums of understanding:

Agreement on the Joint Development of the Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation Plan • Agreement to Create the China-UAE High-Level Investment Cooperation Committee

• Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between China’s National Radio and TV Administration and the UAE Media Council

Memorandum of Understanding between China Media Group and the UAE National Media Office

• The Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between China and the United Arab Emirates.

• Memorandum of Understanding on Accreditation of Competency Certificates for Seafarers

• Collaboration Accord in the Domain of Technology and Science

• Memorandum on Industry and Technology Cooperation

• Agreement on Mutual Intellectual Property Protection

• Memorandum of Understanding on Collaboration in the Travel Industry
