Police in Oman have released a warning to locals on how to handle impending weather, which includes a lot of rain. The country’s meteorological agency had earlier warned that Oman could get a lot of rain on Saturday. Oman time, the notice was sent out from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.<\/p>\n
Over the northern governorates, convective rain is anticipated due to the influence of a low-pressure system over the Sultanate of Oman. Possible thundercloud activity is also anticipated over the governorates of Al Batinah North and South, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and Al Buraimi.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, 10 to 30 mm of rainfall is predicted for the northern regions of the governorates of Al Sharqiyah North and South as well as Al Wusta, especially from the Wilayat of Masirah.<\/p>\n
In addition, active winds that could result in decreased horizontal vision are predicted to accompany light to moderate rain of 5 to 10 mm over some of Muscat’s coastal areas. In the event of rain, the Civil Aviation Authority advises everyone to use caution, avoid low-lying areas, and avoid crossing valleys.<\/p>\n
