Omniyat, a private luxury property developer, announced on Thursday that it had sold a penthouse in the Burj Khalifa district for Dh139 million ($37.8 million), making it the most expensive property in the area.<\/p>\n
The four-bedroom penthouse at the newly opened The Lana Residences, Dorchester Collection, spans 16,594 square feet and overlooks the Marasi Marina between the Burj Khalifa District and the Dubai Design District.<\/p>\n
According to Knight Frank’s most recent report, 56 properties worth over $25 million were sold in Dubai last year, with 12 sold in the first quarter.<\/p>\n
Dubai has consistently been ranked as the top city for luxury property sales, with 431 last year worth $10 million or more, followed by London (240), New York (211), Hong Kong (163), and Los Angeles (161).<\/p>\n
Omniyat recently purchased Marasi Bay Marina from Business Bay LLC, marking the company’s first acquisition.<\/p>\n
