The first Defence Council meeting of 2025 was presided over by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
In keeping with the leadership’s objective for enhancing the UAE’s defence capabilities, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the significance of double efforts, encouraging cooperation, and bolstering collaboration and coordination as he welcomed the delegates. Anticipating a historic year of achievement, innovation, and excellence that mirrors the country’s larger development path.
He also emphasised the necessity of improving the Defence Ministry’s institutional performance and figuring out how to match it with the strategic goals established for the upcoming stage.
Senior officers and officials from the Ministry attended the meeting, including Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence; Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Engineer Issa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei; and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Mohamed Bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei. While highlighting the significance of building and improving skills across the Ministry’s many areas, the discussion concentrated on methods to fortify the military and institutional strategies.
