About 1.5 million people have visited the night-swimming beaches at Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1 in the 18 months since they opened.
These 800-meter-long beaches showcase the Municipality’s dedication to improving public beach appeal by offering amenities and services that first put comfort, luxury, and a high standard of living for visitors and locals. This project is in line with Dubai’s overall plan for the development of public beaches.
The success of a project aimed at providing a distinctive tourism and entertainment experience is demonstrated by the large number of visitors to the night-swimming beaches, emphasized Ibrahim Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality.
According to Juma, the program guarantees the utmost comfort, luxury, and quality of life while enabling locals and visitors to appreciate the splendor of Dubai’s beaches at night. “It is consistent with Dubai’s multifaceted endeavors to position itself as a world leader in quality of life and as a leading international travel destination.”
Juma continued: “The Dubai Municipality has made the night-swimming beaches accessible and friendly for both senior folks and those with a strong will. A fully furnished rest space was created especially for them, trained rescue crews attended to their requirements, and floating seats for swimming adhered to the “Dubai Universal Design Code.” Technical elements have also been improved to guarantee the greatest levels of safety and security for every guest.
