The UAE’s NextGenFDI Initiative Welcomes three new Renewable Energy Technology Businesses

Three clean energy technology companies from China and the US have joined the NextGenFDI program, according to the Ministry of Economy’s announcement today. This highlights the UAE’s position as a hub for innovative businesses and ideas.
The businesses, which focus on cutting-edge generating and storage solutions, will help the UAE achieve its clean energy objectives and facilitate its shift to a low-carbon, more sustainable economy.

Enerflow, a vanadium flow battery technology specialist, is promising to extend the lifecycles of rechargeable batteries used in clean energy storage from four to ten hours. HyGreen Energy is creating water electrolysis hydrogen equipment for a range of industries, including petrochemical and steel. Finally, Enpower Greentech is contributing to the revolution in the battery industry with its solid-state batteries (ASSBs), which were developed in partnership with top automotive OEMs and eVTOL companies worldwide.

Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, welcomed the three firms’ arrival and emphasised how the NextGenFDI initiative is fostering innovation in vital sectors like sustainable energy in the United Arab Emirates.
