According to an expert, businesses in the United Arab Emirates are adopting hybrid work models that combine office-based and remote work to give workers more freedom and flexibility.
“Talent acquisition and retention strategies will be impacted by this change and how businesses run. In an interview with Khaleej Times, Jayant Paleti, the co-founder of Darwinbox, a human capital management (HCM) company, stated that employers will need to adjust by putting in place a strong infrastructure for remote work, redefining performance metrics, and encouraging a culture of trust and collaboration.
The UAE will probably prioritize sustainability and green initiatives in its business agenda as global concerns about climate change grow. Businesses will be pressured to implement eco-friendly procedures, lower their carbon footprints, and use renewable energy sources. Paleti said that the talent landscape will see new opportunities and challenges due to this shift towards sustainability. “We must hire professionals with experience in renewable energy engineering, environmental science, sustainability consulting, and green finance.
To equip its workforce with the skills required for the future economy, the UAE heavily invests in upskilling and reskilling initiatives in response to changing market demands and technological advancements. In-demand skills like coding, data analysis, and digital marketing are becoming more accessible to people thanks to public-private partnerships, vocational training programs, and initiatives like the Dubai Future Foundation’s “One Million Arab Coders” campaign, according to Paleti.
