By the Make it in the Emirates initiative, leading Zambian cable manufacturer Neelkanth Cables has opened a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at TECOM Group’s Dubai Industrial City, one of the region’s largest industrial and logistics hubs. The factory, which will employ 200 people and span 503,000 square feet, represents a Dhs130 million investment.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, attended the inauguration, as did other high-ranking officials and dignitaries.

Their desire to expand in the UAE reflects its appeal to international businesses.
