Code-sharing arrangements have been signed by Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other airline in the world, and KM Malta Airlines, the flag carrier of Malta, to operate joint flights beginning June 15, 2024.
Through the codeshare arrangement, travelers on direct flights between Istanbul and Malta will have more flexible travel options. As part of the partnership, Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul and Malta and vice versa will carry the marketing flight numbers of KM Malta Airlines. “We are pleased that the codeshare agreement with KM Malta Airlines will re-foster cooperation between the two countries and provide seamless journeys for passengers flying from Malta and Türkiye,” said Bilal Ekşi, CEO of Turkish Airlines, regarding the codeshare agreement.
Through this partnership, Maltese travelers can take advantage of Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network, and it also encourages more Maltese tourists to visit Turkey, a country of its own. Malta, the fascinating Mediterranean island nation, will also see an increase in tourists. We anticipate a fruitful, protracted partnership with you. The codeshare flights will be available for purchase through the airlines’ sales channels such as turkishairlines.com and kmmaltairlines.com websites.
