DP World has introduced a new 36-hour marine service between Iraq’s Umm Qasr Port and Dubai’s Mina Rashid. It offers a quicker option to overland trucking and can carry up to 145 accompanying trailers per sailing.
DP World Express, the dedicated RoRo ship running the new route, officially welcomed the service in Mina Rashid. The ship is scheduled to begin operations in December 2025 following recent upgrades at Drydocks World.
The ship will offer clients a direct, safe, door-to-door service between the United Arab Emirates and Iraq, transporting non-containerized, full-trailer units with drivers on board. Additionally, it will reduce cross-border complications, enhance reliability, and make travel to other countries easier.
