According to a Kremlin adviser, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin have decided to meet in the “coming days” It comes after Trump stated that there was a “good chance” he would meet with his Ukrainian and Russian counterparts in person “very soon” to talk about putting an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump has given Russia until Friday to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine or face more severe penalties. After U.S. ambassador Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, Trump and Putin might meet. Witkoff has made four trips to Moscow in the past; each time, Trump expressed confidence, but there was ultimately no significant progress in peace negotiations.
