According to the US Health Agency, Workers can Request for Early Retirement

According to emails obtained by Reuters, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services informed staff members on Monday that they could submit applications for early retirement within the next ten days and that they should reply to a request for details on their weekly successes. A historic attempt to reduce the federal bureaucracy is being driven by billionaire Elon Musk, who is in charge of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, and Republican President Donald Trump.

Workers were redirected to the OMP website, which states that among other qualifications, qualified personnel must be at least 50 years old and have served for the federal government for 20 years, or be of any age and have served for 25 years. According to the email, the deal is good until March 14 at 5:00 PM EST.

The FBI, State Department, and several other U.S. agencies had similarly instructed staff not to immediately comply with DOGE’s request.
However, in a Monday email obtained by Reuters, HHS instructed staff to reply to DOGE’s email by midnight without disclosing private information, such as the names of medications and equipment they are developing.
