Air Lines Delta On Thursday, United Airlines and American Airlines urged lawmakers to “immediately pass a clean continuing resolution” that would reopen the U.S. government and provide compensation to air traffic controllers.

The lobby group Airlines for America, which includes Delta, United, American, and other members, participated in a roundtable at the White House on Thursday afternoon, sponsored by Vice President JD Vance and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
Airlines for America said in a statement that they are still committed to maintaining safety and attempting to lessen the operational effects of this stoppage. “We anticipate a record holiday travel season, but Americans will regrettably need to pack their patience and be ready for further delays if the closure lasts much longer.
