Anna Murdoch-Mann, a writer and the former spouse of media magnate Rupert Murdoch, has away at the age of 81, according to the announcements made by his media outlets. For the past 31 years, she has been married to the media magnate, and during that time, she has been a member of the board of directors of his publishing behemoth, News Corp.
In addition to being the mother of three of Murdoch’s children, namely Elisabeth, James, and Lachlan Murdoch, who is currently the chairman of Fox and News Corp, she was also the stepmother of Prudence, who was Murdoch’s daughter. When Murdoch-Mann passed away on February 17, she was “surrounded by family” at her home in Palm Beach, Florida. She was also a philanthropist.
Anna Torv was born in Glasgow, and she was raised as a Catholic. When she was nine years old, she relocated to Australia. As a result of the divorce that occurred between her parents, it is said that she raised her own siblings. It was during her time working as a reporter for the Sydney Daily Telegraph and the Sydney Daily Mirror that she first became acquainted with Rupert Murdoch, who would later become a member of the board of directors of his company.
