According to local authorities in Ogun State, Nigeria, former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua sustained injuries in a car accident that killed two people on Monday. According to police, the incident occurred on a busy section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, which links Ogun to Lagos’ business district, at approximately 11 a.m. (5 a.m. ET).

Joshua, who has family in Ogun, only received “minor bruises,” but according to Boluwatife, the driver and two other people in the car with him perished. According to Ogun officials, the deceased were foreign nationals.
