As the Country Honors Armistice Day, Kate And the Queen Lay Wreaths

The Kate Princess of Wales and Queen Camilla took part in Armistice Day commemorations in the UK, joining services that honored those who lost their lives in war. Ceremonies were held across the world to mark the occasion.

At the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, Catherine attended the national service, where the Last Post signaled the start of a two-minute silence at 11:00 GMT, marking the end of World War One. It was her first appearance at this location for the annual observance. She laid a wreath at the center of the Armed Forces Memorial, pausing for reflection before returning to her seat and bowing her head as prayers were offered for those affected by conflict. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla attended a wreath-laying ceremony at Paddington Station in London after traveling there by train.

The Prince of Wales also marked the day with a video message directed to young people aged 9 to 14, emphasizing the continuing relevance of remembrance. He spoke about the importance of wearing the red poppy, explaining that remembrance connects people personally to acts of service, helps them draw inspiration from the courage of others, and reminds everyone that the lessons of the past shape the future.
