Police in Oman have released a warning to locals on how to handle impending weather, which includes a lot of rain. The country’s meteorological agency had earlier warned that Oman could get a lot of rain on Saturday. Oman time, the notice was sent out from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Over the northern governorates, convective rain is anticipated due to the influence of a low-pressure system over the Sultanate of Oman. Possible thundercloud activity is also anticipated over the governorates of Al Batinah North and South, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and Al Buraimi.
Furthermore, 10 to 30 mm of rainfall is predicted for the northern regions of the governorates of Al Sharqiyah North and South as well as Al Wusta, especially from the Wilayat of Masirah.
In addition, active winds that could result in decreased horizontal vision are predicted to accompany light to moderate rain of 5 to 10 mm over some of Muscat’s coastal areas. In the event of rain, the Civil Aviation Authority advises everyone to use caution, avoid low-lying areas, and avoid crossing valleys.
