US Government Entities can Purchase ChatGPT from OpenAI for $1

On Wednesday, OpenAI announced that it will grant the US government a one-year license to utilize a business-oriented version of ChatGPT for a nominal fee of $1. In collaboration with the US General Services Administration, the innovative San Francisco-based artificial intelligence (AI) business announced that ChatGPT Enterprise will be available to federal employees in the executive branch.

We can help government employees solve problems for more people, faster by providing them with powerful, secure AI tools,” OpenAI stated in a blog post announcing the partnership. According to the firm, ChatGPT Enterprise does not train or enhance OpenAI models using corporate data, and the same regulation will be in effect for government usage.

OpenAI launched earlier this year a project aimed at providing US federal employees with cutting-edge AI technologies. The announcement followed the announcement that OpenAI had been given a $200 million contract by the US Department of Defense to use generative AI in the military.

According to a post by the firm, OpenAI aims to demonstrate how advanced AI can enhance administrative processes, including the way military members receive medical treatment, and also has uses in cyber security.
