RIYADH: The GREAT Futures Initiative Conference, which will begin in the King Abdullah Financial District on Tuesday, aims to boost economic ties between Saudi Arabia and the UK.
“With over 400 UK delegates visiting Saudi Arabia today 70% of whom have never visited the Kingdomthe largest UK business delegation to visit the Kingdom in over a decade arrives in Riyadh for GREAT FUTURES,” Neil Crompton, the British Ambassador in Saudi Arabia.
There will be 127 speakers from the public and private sectors in 47 sessions and workshops during the two-day conference on May 14 and 15.
The conference’s goal is to enhance collaboration and economic partnerships in thirteen areas, including travel, culture, education, health, sports, trade, investment, and financial services. Agreement signings are also anticipated in real estate development, tourism, and education and training.
According to Sashittal, a show of this size could never be considered a roadshow put on by British stakeholders for their Saudi counterparts to jump on and make millions, if not billions of dollars. Conversely, this event is merely the beginning of a year-long campaign to establish a lasting partnership that reimagines important areas while uncovering undiscovered gems buried in the rich histories of both nations.
