The Mexican Business Council has been established by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce (DCC), one of the three chambers that function under the Dubai Chambers umbrella. The council aims to enhance bilateral trade and investment opportunities and fortify the connections between the business communities in Dubai and Mexico.
The launch coincides with the growing interest that Dubai is attracting from Mexican investors and companies; as of the end of Q1 2024, there were 108 active Mexican companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The Business Council held its first Annual General Meeting at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters recently. During the meeting, the council’s main goals were discussed, including fostering partnerships that will benefit both parties and enhancing economic ties between Mexico and Dubai. Participants also discussed the events planned for the upcoming months.
“We are committed to empowering Business councils to contribute to increasing promising opportunities between the private sector in Dubai and business communities around the world,” said Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers. To increase foreign trade and solidify Dubai’s standing as a top global business destination, we want to fortify economic and investment ties in all sectors on a local and international level.
