Fifa Introduces a New £45 World Cup Ticket for 2026

A specified number of “loyal fans” from nations that have qualified for the World Cup will be eligible to purchase tickets at the higher price, according to the World Football Organization.

We have listened to feedback, and this new category is the right thing to do,” a Fifa official with knowledge of the talks stated, adding that the decision was made unanimously. In addition to praising the move, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said: “As someone who used to save up for England tickets, I want Fifa to do more to make tickets more accessible so that the World Cup doesn’t lose touch with the genuine people who make the game so special.

The Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) refers to the former pricing arrangement as “scandalous” because it would have cost a supporter over £5,000 to follow England to the final.

The £45 ticket, which is in the “supporter entry tier,” the least expensive category, will account for 10% of the allotment for each football association whose team is competing in a tournament hosted by the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
