The Search for The Brown University Gunman has Resumed, with Two Victims Named

The gunman is still at large, but the two students who were murdered in a shooting at Brown University have been identified. The attack on Saturday at the Ivy League university in Providence, Rhode Island, claimed the lives of students Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov. There were nine more injuries.

Following the detention and release of a former “person of interest,” authorities have resumed their search for the gunman responsible for the murderous attack. Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha stated that there was “no basis” to hold the individual in jail and that the evidence “now points in a different direction” during a press conference on Sunday night.

Authorities are seeking additional video footage to help locate the culprit as part of their ongoing investigation. The FBI “will continue an all out 24/7 campaign until justice is fully served,” according to Director Kash Patel.

During a press conference, Providence Police Chief Col. Oscar Perez stated that investigators did not believe the guy who had been arrested earlier was the one seen leaving the area in all black on CCTV footage.
