According to many Indian media sources, Rekha Gupta, the chief minister of Delhi, was assaulted by a man at her home during the monthly Jan Sunvai (public hearing). The CM was reportedly assaulted by the guy after he purportedly handed her some papers at the public hearing
He is being held at the Civil Lines Station by Delhi Police. According to ANI, the accuracy of his identity and address is being checked. People can voice their complaints directly at the chief minister’s residence during the weekly Jan Sunvai event. Gupta’s condition is currently stable, according to Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva, who strongly condemned the event.
He told reporters, “CM was speaking in public this morning at Jan Sunvai, like she regularly does. A man walked up to her, handed her a piece of paper, and then abruptly grabbed her hand and tried to yank her in his direction. There was some jostling throughout this. They caught him. Who is he, and the police are looking into all the other details? The CM remains steady. She has been evaluated by doctors.
