Is it Real or Fake? To “Catch The Thief,” Saudi Police Leap Through The Windscreen of a Car and Drift

On the internet, a video of Saudi Arabian police allegedly “catching a thief” by simulating a theatrical automobile pursuit has gone viral. Many people have compared the action to a Hollywood stunt. A police cruiser is seen pursuing a white automobile in Riyadh in the footage, which has been posted by many Instagram accounts. The cops abruptly veer out of line as the automobile accelerates, cutting directly in front of it and causing it to stop.

One of the officers can be seen leaping from the squad car and colliding with the white car’s windscreen. The white automobile is prevented from continuing its escape by another police car coming up behind it. Even while the video is amazing to see and shows how effective the Saudi police are, it wasn’t a true pursuit to apprehend a fugitive. The footage was taken during a practice run in Riyadh before to the Hajj journey. Saudi Arabia held a massive display of security forces and military drills in Makkah on May 31 as part of its substantial preparations for the Hajj in 2025.
