Following an emotional visit to the hospital where she got treatment last year, the Princess of Wales announced on Tuesday that her cancer is in remission.
The princess expressed her sincere gratitude to everyone who assisted her and her husband, Prince William, with the treatment in a social media message. She called her experience as a patient “exceptional.” Now being in remission is a relief, and I’m still focused on getting better,” she added. “Anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer will understand that acclimating to a new normal takes time.” The princess had never before disclosed any information about her diagnosis. She had previously provided no details regarding her future prognosis, only stating that she had finished her chemotherapy.
The solo engagement was performed by Kate, as she is usually known, at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital, a world-renowned, cutting-edge cancer treatment facility renowned for its innovative research. As she talked to other patients undergoing immunotherapy and chemotherapy, she thanked the medical staff for their support. In reference to chemotherapy, she added, “It’s really tough.” “What a shock! Kate visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in central London, where she had received treatment that ended in September, on her first solo trip since returning to official duties.
