A multilingual lawyer with extensive expertise in various fields of law, Dr. Csilla Rostas has built her career through a unique blend of international experience and a passion for helping others. With a rich background in the legal landscape, Dr. Csilla specializes in business immigration law and is a member of ITALAWYERS, the first association of Italian and Italian-speaking lawyers in the world.
Spark Behind The Journey
We started the interview by asking, “What inspired you to start your business, and what vision drives it this day?”
Dr. Csilla Rostas shared, “My inspiration to start my own business stems from my personal journey and experiences living in multiple countries. As someone who has lived in Italy, France, Belgium and now Germany, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges and complexities that come with moving abroad. These experiences sparked a deep passion in me to help individuals who are facing similar challenges, as well as companies expanding internationally.
My vision for my work has always been to create a space where expats can find not just legal expertise, but also a sense of support and understanding. I am driven by the idea of making the immigration process more accessible, transparent, and less daunting for people from all walks of life. In the international environments I’ve worked in, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for cultural diversity, and that fuels my dedication to assisting individuals who are building their lives in new countries.
Ultimately, I want my business to be more than just a legal service; I want it to be a trusted partner for people as they navigate new territories, ensuring that their legal matters are in good hands so they can focus on building a future in their new home.”
Adaptability To Tech-Driven Innovations
To learn more about the impact of technology in the business of Dr. Csilla Rostas, we asked, “How do you use technology to drive innovation and efficiency in your company?”
“In today’s digital age, technology plays a crucial role in enhancing both innovation and efficiency, especially in a field like immigration law, where timelines and documentation are key. I use a variety of tools to streamline the process, reduce paperwork, and improve communication with clients.
Additionally, I use automated workflows and legal management software to help manage cases, ensuring that no deadlines are missed and that all documentation is up-to-date. This system allows me to focus on providing personalized advice rather than getting bogged down in administrative tasks. I also use video conferencing and digital communication tools to stay connected with clients across different time zones, making it easier for them to reach out, no matter where they are.
With clients from various parts of the world, technology allows me to maintain an international reach while providing tailored, timely support. By integrating technology into every aspect of my work, I can deliver a more efficient and effective service to my clients, while also staying ahead of trends and continuously innovating in a fast-changing legal landscape.” She responded.
Empowering Growth Among The Team
Eager to understand Dr. Csilla Rostas’ view on the team’s growth, we asked her to share her strategies for fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Dr. Csilla Rostas explained, “Fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth is something I take very seriously, because the legal landscape, especially in immigration law, is constantly evolving. I encourage an open and collaborative environment where everyone feels empowered to share new insights, ask questions, and challenge conventional thinking. I prioritize regular training sessions on changes in immigration policies, and new technological tools that can improve our work. Whether it’s through webinars, conferences, or knowledge-sharing meetings, we ensure that our collaborators are always learning and staying updated.
I promote mentorship, where more experienced colleagues can guide junior colleagues. This creates a supportive learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. I aim to inspire a team that is agile, motivated, and always striving to deliver the best possible service to our clients.”
Staying Ahead Of The Curve
We also asked, “What strategies help you stay competitive in a speedy-changing market?”
“Staying competitive in a fast-changing market, especially in immigration law, requires both adaptability and a proactive approach. One key strategy I focus on is staying ahead of legal and policy changes. Immigration law is constantly evolving, and I make it a priority to monitor new regulations, international agreements, and global trends that could affect my clients. This allows me to quickly adjust our strategies and provide up-to-date advice. Another crucial strategy is embracing technology.
By integrating the latest legal tech tools, I can increase efficiency and offer a more streamlined service. This not only improves the client experience but also allows us to scale our operations without sacrificing quality. I also keep a strong focus on building lasting relationships with clients. In a world full of options, personal connections and trust are irreplaceable. I ensure that I am accessible, responsive, and empathetic, which differentiates us from competitors who may not prioritize the human side of service.
Finally, I invest in continuous professional development. Whether it’s attending global conferences or staying informed about industry best practices, I ensure that I am always at the cutting edge of legal knowledge and client service. By being adaptable, leveraging technology, building strong relationships, and committing to learning, I can stay competitive and provide exceptional value to my clients, even in a fast-paced, ever-changing market.” She replied.
An Impactful Project
We were interested to learn about a project that marked a turning point for Dr. Csilla Rostas and her business. So, we asked, “Can you highlight a project or initiative that made a significant impact on your company?”
“One of the most impactful initiatives has been the development of a strong, international network of legal professionals and collaborations with global companies. Over the years, I’ve built relationships with professionals around the world, allowing me to offer my clients not just expertise, but a truly international perspective. This network has been instrumental in providing comprehensive, cross-border solutions for my clients, especially in cases where they need guidance in multiple jurisdictions.
Additionally, my involvement with the amazing Filipino community has played a key role in growing my reputation. Word of mouth within tight-knit communities like this has been invaluable in expanding my client base. By offering tailored services that speak to the unique needs of expats, particularly those facing complex immigration matters, I’ve been able to establish trust and become a go-to resource for many immigrants seeking legal support in Europe. These initiatives have significantly boosted my visibility, and the trust I’ve earned through personal connections and community engagement has had a ripple effect, leading to referrals and new business opportunities. It’s a reminder that building genuine relationships and offering tailored services is a powerful way to make a lasting impact.” She explained.
Adaptability Amidst A Dynamic Industry
We further asked, “How do you ensure your business remains agile and adaptable to industry changes?”
“Ensuring that my business remains agile and adaptable is a priority, especially in the ever-changing field of immigration law. One of the key ways I maintain this flexibility is by continuous learning. I actively stay updated on legal reforms, emerging trends, and evolving policies, which allows me to anticipate changes rather than react to them. This proactive approach ensures I’m always prepared to adapt my services to meet new challenges head-on. I also maintain flexibility in how I engage with clients.
By creating customizable solutions based on each client’s unique needs, I can quickly pivot my approach when required. This has proven especially important when working with clients from various backgrounds, as immigration policies differ not only across countries but also within regions. Finally, I focus on strong relationships with both clients and professional partners. Staying connected with other legal professionals, businesses, and communities helps me understand shifting dynamics and opens doors to new opportunities. This constant feedback loop from clients and colleagues helps me identify early signs of change and respond effectively.” Dr. Csilla reflected.
Envisioning The Future
To learn more about her professional visions, we asked her to share her short-term and long-term goals, and how she plans to achieve them.
Dr. Csilla Rostas added, “In the short term, my goal is to further strengthen my global partnerships and expand my collaborations with other legal professionals, international companies, and organizations. By building a network of trusted partners across multiple regions, I want to ensure that I can offer even more comprehensive, seamless support for clients who have cross-border immigration needs. This means deeper relationships with other lawyers, consultants, and businesses in key markets, and continuing to build my firm as a reliable, international immigration law firm.
In the long term, I envision positioning my work as a go-to resource for expats and immigrants on a global scale. I want to make sure that no matter where my clients are coming from or where they are going, they can rely on our expertise to navigate the complexities of immigration law. A major part of this long-term vision is expanding my international presence and collaborating with legal professionals and organizations in emerging markets so that I can offer tailored services for a more diverse clientele. I also see the potential to develop educational resources and workshops to further empower expats with the knowledge they need to succeed in their new countries.
To achieve these goals, I will continue to make my services even more accessible across borders. I also participate in global conferences and forums to stay connected with industry leaders and stay ahead of market trends. By maintaining a strong focus on building meaningful relationships, staying adaptable, and investing in professional growth, I’m confident that both short-term and long-term objectives will be realized.”
Words Of Wisdom For Beginners
Addressing the beginners in her field, we posed the question, “What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to make an impact?”
Dr. Csilla Rostas responded, “My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs would be to focus on what truly drives you, find a cause or area where you can bring both passion and expertise. Building a business isn’t just about creating a product or service, it’s about making a difference in people’s lives. Whether you’re in a niche market or a more general one, aim to deliver real value to your customers and clients and the impact will follow. Another key piece of advice is to build strong relationships from the start. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, whether that’s mentors, peers, or collaborators.
As an entrepreneur, you won’t be able to succeed alone, so it’s important to build a network that supports, challenges, and inspires you. In my case, my international network of legal professionals has been crucial in helping me grow and stay adaptable in a fast-changing industry. Also, be prepared for the ups and downs. Entrepreneurship is rarely a straight path, and it’s easy to get discouraged. Resilience is key. Embrace failure as part of the learning process and keep an open mind to change and growth. Always stay grounded in your core values.
Finally, don’t underestimate the importance of technology and innovation. Even in a traditional field like law, embracing new tools can unlock efficiency, streamline operations, and make it easier to reach your audience. Always look for ways to improve your processes, keep learning, and stay curious about how to do things better. In short, be passionate, build relationships, embrace failure, and stay open to innovation. If you can do these things, you’ll be well on your way to making a meaningful impact.”
