Built To Find Trading Talents: Lailayan Almasri As The CMO At Funding Pips

Lailayan Almasri’s professional journey of climbing the corporate ladder from an Account Executive to CMO at Funding Pips is nothing short of an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs.

We are grateful to Lailayan Almasri for sharing her valuable time and a glimpse of her professional journey.

We asked Lailayan Almasri : Could you describe your academic background and career journey that shaped your path to becoming a leader in your industry?

Lailayan Almasri: I graduated Bachelor from the German Jordanian University majoring in German and English for Business And Communications. This helped me find my love for different areas in business as a model and to put my focus on marketing. Therefore, I also studied Global MBA at the University of Bedfordshire to put more focus on business models alongside my practical experience! I started as an intern at Google, Berlin experiencing Google ads, returned to Jordan, and worked in different marketing agencies. I climbed the ladder from an Account Executive to Chief Marketing Officer.

Entrepreneur Mirror: Reflecting on your career, what have been some of the most significant challenges you’ve faced, and how did you overcome them?

Lailayan Almasri: The greatest challenge is to manage employees, starting by managing 2 people until this point of managing 70+ employees with different backgrounds, expertise, and levels of professionalism! To gather all that and utilize it to structure a strong internal operational system that helps the workflow of the business.

Entrepreneur Mirror: How do you balance long-term vision with short-term operational needs?

Lailayan Almasri: The short-term operational needs are already part of the long-term vision. Those needs are there to help establish a solid foundation for my vision along with their obstacles and challenges. Every step on the way is a foundation rock to build a solid structure. In my perspective the short-term needs are the basis of the vision, it’s everything I build on for the sustainability of the business and firm.

Entrepreneur Mirror: Tell us more about your services and if you are planning to add something new in the future.

Lailayan Almasri: The Proprietary business is a very viral and flexible industry. We come up daily with new changes to the market but what matters the most is to deliver our service with clarity, integrity, and compassion. Our services consist of many variables but I always intend to utilize everything, even the obstacles in showing the trader that we are sincere with our motto – Built by Traders for Traders.

Entrepreneur Mirror: What methods do you use to analyze market trends, and how have these influenced your business decisions?

Lailayan Almasri: I focus mainly on weekly and monthly competitor analysis. I like to study the competitor to avoid his mistakes and to build on any market advantages the competitor is bringing by also being innovative and focusing on organic growth; as organic growth does not exist without brand loyalty!

Entrepreneur Mirror: How has digital transformation affected your business model?

Lailayan Almasri: Digital transformation is the shape of my business! Funding Pips is one of the first companies that have their inbuilt- in-house technology. This digital revolution that Funding Pips gave us a market advantage that we are using to sustain our operations daily.

Entrepreneur Mirror: What emerging technologies do you believe will have the most significant impact on your industry in the next five years?

Lailayan Almasri: Mainly Artificial Intelligence. But this question is subject to many changes as I mentioned before. This industry is very flexible and is bringing a lot of new methods, technologies, and science daily.

Entrepreneur Mirror: What strategies do you implement to maintain high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction?

Lailayan Almasri: Compassion! I am called the Boss Lady and Funding Pips mom between employees! I am strict in what I bring to the table but I offer the utmost compassion and understanding levels to the employees. Leadership is about being a role model not a parade of power showcase and abuse of authority. The employees need to feel like they are home and they work with family! As a leader, I enforce the stability, motivation, and recognition of my employees.

Entrepreneur Mirror: How do you want your business to be remembered, and what steps are you taking to secure that legacy? we asked Lailayan Almasri

Lailayan Almasri: The legacy of a business comes when everyone can be a witness to its success! Being successful with high business ethics, morals, and integrity. We want to deliver a message that being successful in your business and career doesn’t mean being greedy or unethical. Offering respect to our clients and showing them a high level of responsibility in delivering our services will be our legacy. Safe to say we already established that among our clients, competitors, and employees.
