The Beginning
We began by asking: “Can you walk us through your professional journey and what inspired you to build Royal Holiday Homes?”
Nidal Natik shared, “I began my career in hospitality nearly two decades ago, working in prestigious establishments such as Emirates Palace and Shangri-La, where I learned the essence of service excellence and guest experience. Eventually, my path led to real estate and property management, where I oversaw large portfolios and understood the business side of hospitality.
As the global STR sector expanded, I noticed a clear gap in Abu Dhabi — a need for a professional, compliant, hospitality-driven STR company. That led to the birth of Royal Holiday Homes in early 2023. We started with just four properties and have since grown into Abu Dhabi’s No.1 Holiday Homes company, managing more than 150 premium units across Yas Island, Saadiyat, Al Raha, Masdar, Al Reem, and Downtown.”

“The biggest challenge was educating property owners about the STR model in a market that traditionally preferred long-term rentals. Many were unsure about consistency, compliance, and returns.
Through transparency, detailed reporting, and real-time communication, we built trust — demonstrating that STRs can deliver 30–50% higher ROI with proper management.
Operationally, managing over 150 properties requires high-level coordination. We solved this with strong internal systems, highly dedicated teams, and an ongoing initiative to develop the strongest AI-powered STR Super App that seamlessly connects operations, pricing, guest communication, and performance.”

Our goal is to make operations more efficient, transparent, and scalable while reducing human error and enhancing profitability.”

Advice for Young Entrepreneurs
We asked: “What advice do you have for newcomers entering the STR or hospitality field?”
Nidal Natik shared, “Start small, learn the process, and focus on consistency — not quick wins. This business is built on guest satisfaction and trust. Invest in people, technology, and your brand reputation. Most importantly, stay compliant and work closely with the authorities; the future belongs to companies that align with the industry’s vision and regulations.”
