At the final event, which took place on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Telangana, Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri emerged victorious as the 72nd Miss World. The first runner-up was Hasset Dereje of Ethiopia, while the second runner-up was Maja Klajda of Poland. Aurlie Joachim of Martinique made it into the top four.
The 72nd Miss World finale was hosted by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, who wore a traditional Indian lehenga for the occasion, alongside Sachiin Kumbhar. The event also featured performances by Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter. The judging panel included actor Sonu Sood, honoured with the Miss World Humanitarian Award.
Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova declared the winner of this year’s famous beauty pageant, which attracted 108 participants worldwide. Another judge was Sudha Reddy, the 2025 Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose.
The jury also included Dr. Caryna Turrell, a public health doctor from the University of Cambridge and the 2014 Miss England contestant. Krystyna Pyszkova, the 2024 Miss World, took part in choosing her successor. Julia Morley CBE, the chairwoman of Miss World, presided over the jury.
Actors Namrata Shirodkar, Rana Daggubati, and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar were also present at the function. Actor-politician Chiranjeevi and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were also in attendance.
