In response to stories of panic buying and gas stations running out of fuel since the beginning of the Iran conflict, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has attempted to reassure Australians that the nation’s fuel supply is still “secure” despite rising costs.The impact will increase with the length of this war. The government claims that shortages are the result of problems with distribution and demand rather than supply, which is still at the same level as it was prior to the start of the conflict.For the next few weeks, Australia’s supply of petrol and diesel and oil will be the same, if not higher, than it normally would be,” Energy Minister Chris Bowen said alongside Albanese.
