With 49,135 registered residential rental contracts in the first half of 2024, Abu Dhabi saw a notable rise in the number of such agreements.
This represents a 102% year-over-year growth and a rise of 24,811 contracts over the same period in 2023.
43,985 of these contracts were in Abu Dhabi alone, according to data from the Statistics Centre — Abu Dhabi. This represents an annual increase of 104.9% over the 21,465 contracts that were registered in H1 2023.
Rental contracts in Al Ain City increased by 77% from 2,715 in 2023 to 4,819 in 2024, indicating significant growth in the city as well. In the meantime, the number of contracts reported by the Al Dhafra region in H1 2024 increased to 331 from 144 during the same period the previous year.
Following March’s peak increase of 2.9%, June saw the second-largest growth in documented contracts year over year.Of these contracts, 43,985 were solely in Abu Dhabi; this represents an annual increase of 104.9% over the 21,465 contracts registered in H1 2023.After March’s 2.9% peak increase, une saw the second-largest year-over-year growth in documented contracts.
