Sheikh Mohammed, Premier of Mauritius, Observes the CEPA’s Signature

In the presence of the Honourable Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the two nations signed the historic Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

It is anticipated that by 2030, the deal the UAE’s first CEPA with an African nation—will increase Mauritius’ GDP by more than 1 percent while also increasing the UAE’s GDP by 0.96 percent.

Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE has consistently endeavored to build bridges of friendship and cooperation with nations that share our vision of building a brighter future for the next generation” and that the signing of this historic agreement reflected the UAE’s commitment to forging strong partnerships that drive development and benefit our peoples. Sheikh Mohammed was led in this endeavour by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Our partnership agreement with the Republic of Mauritius reflects our commitment to enhancing bilateral ties, fostering economic expansion, and creating many opportunities for our people. His Highness declared, “Together, we will fortify the ties that bind us and build a better future for our citizens.
