His Highness The new Sharjah Police General Command and Operations Centre facility was officially inaugurated by Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sharjah’s Supreme Council Member and Ruler.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as well as Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
During the event, Sheikh Sultan commended the facility’s new corporate identity and approved the promotion of 4,138 military personnel to the emirate’s regular forces, which would take effect retrospectively.
In his remarks, he emphasized that, while everything in the world may be replaced, honor and reputation cannot. Once lost, they cannot be recovered and constitute a permanent stigma and disgrace. Sheikh Sultan encouraged security forces to take extra caution when making arrests to ensure that innocent people are not harmed.
He recommended police officers to make decisions that minimize the harm to individuals, especially when considering jail, in order to safeguard their reputation in the community and among their colleagues.
