Until the unfavorable scenario improves, Dubai International (DXB) airport is temporarily diverting inbound flights scheduled to arrive this evening on Tuesday.
In order to minimize disruption to our patrons and resume regular operations, the airport is diligently collaborating with its response teams and service partners. According to Dubai Airports, “We encourage visitors to check directly with the airline for the most recent information on the status of their flight, allow significant additional time for travel to the airport, and use the Dubai metro where possible.”
We recommend that travelers give themselves plenty of additional time to get to the airport, check-in directly with their airline for the most recent status of their flight, and use Dubai Metro for more accessible transit—which is open until 03:00 LT tonight. The statement read, “We are actively working with our airline and service partners to minimize any inconvenience experienced by our valued guests.”
Tuesday saw rain and thunderstorms in many parts of the United Arab Emirates, leading federal and emirate authorities to issue safety cautions for citizens and visitors. We are working hard to minimize disruptions to our passengers’ travel schedules and coordinate with all airport parties.
