The French interior ministry announced on Wednesday that ten British far-right activists were prohibited from entering France due to actions meant to prevent migrants from entering the nation on small boats.
It stated that “territorial bans were issued against 10 British nationals, identified as activists within the movement and having carried out actions on French soil,” in response to news on Tuesday that members of the “Raise the Colours” campaign had engaged in anti-immigrant activities on French grounds.
The identities of those subject to the entry ban were not made public by the French authorities. Late last year, a social media account named “Raise the Colours Operation France” shared videos of far-right protestors on the northern shore of France.
The man, who goes by Ryan Bridge elsewhere, declares, “That is not going to England. He dives into the water and yells at what appear to be scores of undocumented migrants boarding an inflatable dinghy on their route to England in another post that was published earlier that month.
Last year, a contentious immigration debate in the UK sparked a new fad of flying British and English flags. The major organizers of “Raise the Colours” are allegedly far-right activists, according to anti-racism groups.
