The destruction of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip by Israeli occupation forces, along with the forcible evacuation of patients and medical staff, has been strongly protested by the United Arab Emirates.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasized in a statement that the UAE firmly opposes both the systematic and abhorrent demolition of the Strip’s remaining health system and this atrocious conduct that violates international humanitarian law.
Additionally, the Ministry reiterated the UAE’s stance in favour of an immediate end to hostilities, stressing the necessity of ensuring that civilians and civilian institutions are protected by international law, including international treaties, and that they are not singled out during the conflict.
The Ministry warned of the imminent humanitarian disaster and conveyed its profound worry over the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip, which poses a threat to additional civilian casualties.
The United Arab Emirates urged the international community to step up efforts to prevent the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory from getting worse and to support all initiatives aimed at bringing about fair and comprehensive peace.
