October will see the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s postmortem memoir, in which she accused the late infamous billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and the Duke of York of sexual abuse. The book, Nobody’s Girl, was completed by Ms. Giuffre before she committed suicide in Australia in April, when she was 41 years old.
Ms. Giuffre had expressed weeks prior to her death that it was her “heartfelt wish” that the memoir would still be published in the case of her death, according to publishing firm Alfred. At the age of 17, Ms. Giuffre said that she was trafficked to Prince Andrew by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, his ex-girlfriend. All accusations against Prince Andrew have been refuted by him.
The prince and Ms. Giuffre came to an out-of-court settlement in 2022. He apologized for his affiliation with Epstein in a statement included in the settlement, but it contained neither an apology nor an acknowledgment of fault.
Ms. Giuffre will discuss the prince in public for the first time since the settlement in her 400-page book, which she co-wrote with Amy Wallace. Ms. Giuffre emailed Ms. Wallace on April 1st, just after she reported being in a vehicle accident, according to Knopf, a part of Penguin Random House.
