Fourteen years ago, when British newspapers were preparing to run reports about him, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor emotionally conveyed to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in an email, “I can’t take any more of this.” This exchange was revealed in documents released recently from Epstein’s estate, which also include emails mentioning Donald Trump.
The former prince responded after receiving a right-of-reply email from the Mail on Sunday sent to Maxwell in March 2011, which contained multiple allegations against him. In his reply, Andrew stated, “What’s all this? I don’t know anything about this! You must SAY so please. This has NOTHING to do with me. I can’t take any more of this.”
These emails highlight Andrew’s distress over the media accusations circulating at the time. The documents are part of over 20,000 pages released that shed light on Epstein’s relationships and communications, including those involving prominent figures. Andrew’s connections and the allegations have been subject to extensive public and legal scrutiny over the years, which led to significant consequences for him, including the loss of royal patronages and public duties. This particular email reveals a moment of personal strain amid the wider controversy surrounding Epstein and his associates.
