In order to improve bilateral trade in goods between the UAE and the five EAEU bloc members—Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia—the United Arab Emirates and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have successfully wrapped up negotiations to reach a comprehensive economic partnership agreement.
The conclusion of negotiations between the UAE and the EAEU for an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) has been verified by Andrey Slepnev, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
Al Zeyoudi emphasized that the UAE’s strong confidence in positive international cooperation and the advancement of free, rules-based trade as a pillar of stability and economic progress on a worldwide scale is reflected in the end of the EPA discussions.
“The UAE and the Eurasian Economic Union have established a successful, fruitful partnership that is founded on a mutual dedication to long-term growth and economic diversification,” he stated. We will strengthen these relationships and be able to capitalize on our numerous synergies once we conclude negotiations on an Economic Partnership Agreement.
