Are you planning a summer trip to Europe to enjoy the milder climate? If you have not yet filed for a Schengen visa, you should reconsider because visa appointments are now unavailable for the foreseeable future. Travel agents stated that appointments for the 29 nations are now unavailable, with the next open slots appearing in mid-August.
According to them, most appointments are already scheduled until at least the second week of August. Even if tourists can arrange an appointment, obtaining the actual visa might take up to two weeks to a month, making it practically difficult to schedule a Schengen vacation during the school holidays.
“There are currently no appointments for any country,” said Subair Thekepurathvalappil, senior manager of Wisefox Tourism. “Only a few limited spots are available for Greece during the third week of July, and even those are difficult to obtain. With the present delays, the summer vacation will be finished when individuals receive their visas.
According to Pavan Poojari, travel consultant at Luxury Travels, “A lot of people want to travel, but they have no choice but to look for other options.” Tour companies say that because of these delays, they urge citizens to choose alternate holiday places that are more accessible while still providing remarkable experiences.
