Travel operators in the UAE have been urging their clients to follow the cabin luggage regulations that Indian airlines will soon start to enforce aggressively. According to Indian media on Wednesday, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has implemented new regulations that limit cabin luggage to a single item and make sure it doesn’t exceed 7 kilograms for all domestic and international flights.
According to the information we have received, a circular has been issued about this, and airlines intend to put these regulations into effect as soon as possible,” stated Safeer Mahamood, general manager of Smart Travels. “Passengers departing from the United Arab Emirates should be aware of this as it will be applicable to all Indian carriers’ domestic and international flights,” he continued.
Another expert, however, stated that although there hasn’t been any official communication in this area, he anticipates that the laws will be strictly enforced very soon. Saffron Travels and Tourism’s Praveen Chowdhary stated, “We have not received any notification from the airlines.” All of our passengers have received texts from us, though, outlining the precise weight and size of cabin baggage that each airline permits. Additionally, we have been telling them to adhere to the rules closely.
