At least eleven additional House of Representatives members have specifically urged Biden to withdraw. Peter Welch, a Democrat, joined them yesterday as the first member. Many other well-known Democratic donors and figures have expressed concerns regarding Biden’s chances of defeating Trump in the US election in November.
Starmer, the British Labour Party leader, was officially confirmed as prime minister a few days ago, so the NATO summit served as his international debut. The most recent leader to speak with Starmer face-to-face outside the event is Erdogan.
According to the Biden administration, this latest shipment is the 61st “tranche of equipment” to be transferred from Pentagon stockpiles to Kyiv since August 2021. To support the nation’s allies, the weapons are being supplied under presidential authority by drawing on US defence stockpiles.
