By pledging to raise the number of women in leadership positions, Mediclinic Middle East, a prominent private healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates, has demonstrated its commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace. This commitment was formally made at a ceremony held in November at the Global Women’s Forum Dubai.
The commitment restates Mediclinic’s long-standing commitment to promoting gender equality among its employees. Women currently make up 33% of the Executive Committee and 62% of Mediclinic’s workforce. Interestingly, women make about 80% of the Emirati employees at Mediclinic. The organization’s inclusive principles guarantee equal compensation for equal effort, eliminate discrimination, and advance gender equality.
Beyond its policies, Mediclinic is dedicated. The organization actively supports its female employees by providing flexible work schedules, hybrid arrangements, and specialized mental health and wellness programs. The business also helps working mothers manage their personal and professional obligations, which makes Mediclinic a preferred employer in the private healthcare industry in the United Arab Emirates. The CEO of Mediclinic Middle East, Hein van Eck, emphasized the value of gender equality in healthcare and expressed delight in the company’s involvement in the Global Women’s Forum Dubai 2024.
