The Moscow City tourist Committee reaffirmed its dedication to developing long-term tourist partnerships by starting a strategic roadshow in the Middle East. The delegation’s goals are to increase visitor numbers, strengthen cooperation, and promote Moscow as a top vacation destination in the UAE, which is becoming a significant market.
There has been an unparalleled surge in travel between Moscow and the United Arab Emirates. During a press conference in Dubai on Wednesday, Evgeny Kozlov, Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, stated that 97% of the 42,700 visitors who came to Moscow in the first nine months of 2024 did so for leisure. This is a significant rise compared to 2019.
Meetings held in Dubai centred on enhancing Moscow’s allure for tourists from the United Arab Emirates through the use of cultural interaction, invitation-only events, and customised travel experiences. Group, family, corporate, medical, and sports tourism are popular travel categories among Middle Eastern tourists; each is intended to offer individualised and immersive experiences.
Moscow is investing heavily in visitor services, infrastructure, and hospitality as part of its continuous attempts to improve the travel experience for Middle Eastern tourists. To accommodate Middle Eastern tastes, the city is increasing the number of upscale lodging alternatives it offers, improving accessibility in Arabic, and creating outstanding gastronomic experiences.
