Sharjah: The Kingdom of Morocco has designated the emirate as the official Guest of Honour at the 30th Rabat International Book Fair (RIBF) in honour of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah’s cultural project, as well as Sharjah’s standing as a global knowledge capital. The Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication is organising RIBF 2025, which will be held at the renowned OLM Souissi from April 17 to April 27.
Khoula Al Mujaini, Director of Events and Marketing at the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), and Latifa Moftaqir, General Coordinator of RIBF and Director of the Moroccan Archives Foundation, signed the agreement during the ceremony where the news was made.
Enhancing Arab cultural interchange and strengthening relationships between intellectuals and literary luminaries from the United Arab Emirates and Morocco are two important goals of this statement.
The program will celebrate the richness of Emirati heritage and the cultural values it shares with Morocco, promoting greater understanding and cooperation. Sharjah, as the Guest of Honour, will also present a varied cultural agenda that highlights the UAE’s historical and contemporary literary and artistic accomplishments.
