The United Arab Emirates, represented by the UAE Ministry of Finance and the UAE Central Bank, attended the Annual Joint Meeting of Arab Financial Institutions, which was hosted by Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and attended by Dr Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt.
The UAE delegation also attended the Council of Arab Finance Ministers meeting, where they discussed a variety of issues aimed at improving joint Arab work and facilitating partnerships between regional and international Arab institutions to finance projects that promote development and address Arab countries’ current challenges.
The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the Arab Monetary Fund, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, and the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development all held annual meetings.
The Council of Arab Finance Ministers held its regular session on the sidelines of the Annual Joint Meeting of Arab Financial Institutions. Furthermore, the UAE Ministry of Finance held a bilateral meeting with the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, a member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
