Iranian TV aired a show that made fun of the demonstrators who died during the January rallies, which has caused uproar across the country. Ofogh TV, a channel that is loyal to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, showed the show “Khat-Khati” (“Scribbles”) on Sunday.
The TV host remarked with a scornful smile that the Islamic Republic placed the bodies in frigid places so that if the US or Israel invaded Iran later, the regime could blame them for the deaths. He then enquired where the bodies were, giving fake multiple-choice answers.
What kind of fridge does the Islamic Republic keep the bodies in?” The TV host, Mohammad-Hossein Mohabbati, asked. He then gave fake multiple-choice options such side-by-side fridge,” “ice cream machine,” and “supermarket freezer.” The fourth option was “I’m an ice seller; don’t ruin my business.
In a video he posted to Instagram last week, Amir-Fazli said that the government was storing a lot of dead in cold storage so that “if Trump ever fires a missile, they can say Trump killed these people.
