Despite a four-year break, British Airways has announced the return of its London to Abu Dhabi route. According to the UK-based airline, daily flights from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi’s recently opened Zayed International Airport will be available throughout the year.
The airline’s chief customer officer, Calum Laming, stated that the new daily flight will strengthen ties with the United Arab Emirates and provide customers with an additional fantastic destination on the airline’s vast global network. The aircraft will have four cabins to select from.
The new BA route will “enrich connectivity and invigorate both business and tourism,” according to Elena Sorlini, managing director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports. The UK is one of the most popular destinations among UAE residents for leisure, business and meeting relatives and friends, especially during the summer, when the airline will operate Boeing 787-9.
An electronic travel authorization may be applied for for short-term, limited-duration research, investment, tourism, and visits to friends and family. No stay should last longer than six months in a row.
I feel honored to return to Abu Dhabi, a wonderful city and Emirate where I had the good fortune to reside for almost ten years,” Laming said.
